In September, Ouelessebougou Alliance delivered 1,000 nets to 16 different villages in the Ouelessebougou region of Mali. This was our budgeted goal for the year but by no means meets the needs of our village friends. About 66 nets were distributed per village, meaning there were many families left without a new, insecticide treated net.
According to Anounou, our Field Director in Mali, the best time to purchase quality mosquito nets at a more affordable price is coming up in February. We'd love to purchase and distribute another 500 nets during this program year.
We appreciate your support and ask you to simply share our project with your friends and family. Mosquito nets are the best tool we currently have to fight malaria so the more nets we have, the more lives we save!
