This project provides essential "Mother & Baby Kits" to displaced families in Gaza facing a dire humanitarian crisis. Each kit includes diapers, hygiene supplies (shampoo, soap, wipes), baby clothes, and sanitary pads for mothers. By delivering these basic necessities, we aim to protect infants from infection, support maternal health, and restore a sense of dignity to families living in overcrowded shelters under extreme conditions.
Gaza's healthcare and sanitation systems have collapsed, leaving mothers and newborns in catastrophic conditions. Over 1 million people are displaced, often lacking access to clean water and basic hygiene. Without diapers, clean clothes, or soap, infants and babies face high risks of skin infections and diseases. Mothers also lack essential sanitary products, creating a secondary health crisis. In these desperate circumstances, hygiene is not just about comfort; it is about survival.
We provide immediate relief by distributing comprehensive kits tailored for mother and baby care. Each kit contains diapers, wipes, towels, shampoo, soap, and clothing to maintain infant hygiene. It also includes sanitary pads for mothers. By sourcing and delivering these items directly to displaced camps and shelters, we bridge the gap between unavailable local supplies and the urgent needs of families, preventing the spread of illness and easing the burden on struggling parents.
Beyond immediate relief, this project reduces infant mortality and morbidity rates linked to poor sanitation during the crisis. By supporting maternal hygiene, we empower women to care for themselves and their babies more effectively. In the long run, providing these essentials helps prevent a generation of children from suffering chronic health issues caused by early-life infections, while fostering community resilience and hope amidst one of the world's most severe humanitarian emergencies.
