SHINE Humanity has been supporting SINA's Primary Health Clinic in Baldia Town, Karachi for the past 5 years.
Baldia Town is a low-income area where most of the residents are day laborers who face a daily struggle to make ends meet.48-year-old Abdul Kareem is one such resident, He supports his five children by working as a laborer in Sabzi Mandi. (wholesale fruit and vegetable market) Earning minimum wages, Abdul Kareem can’t even afford to pay for public transportation let alone set money aside for healthcare. The SINA clinic being only a short walk from his residence is highly accessible to Abdul Kareem. He is now a regular visitor at the clinic which he visits every month to manage his ailments.
At SINA, Abdul Kareem receives his routine blood pressure and diabetes medication. Owing to free medication provision at SINA, Abdul Kareem now regularly takes his medication, because of which he can continue working to support his family.
Abdul Kareem is just one of the thousands of patients who visit the clinic in Baldia Town. We would not be able to provide them with quality primary health care without help from our generous donors.
We hope you will continue to support our cause in the future!
With Gratitude,
Naila Ahmed
