Ajni - a mother striving to improve her health.

By Rubina Husain and Hareem Khalid Baig | Admin Assistant and Senior Associate Marketing

In the remote village of Sindhiya Vandhiya, far from the reach of Nagarparkar, lives Ajni, a 29-year-old mother of three. This community suffers from extreme poverty and a lack of even the most basic health facilities.

Ajni’s first pregnancy went smoothly, but the two that followed were marked by serious complications due to excessive blood loss. During her last pregnancy, she expressed a desire to undergo an operation, but her request was denied due to financial and cultural constraints. Despite her health struggles, Ajni has been blessed with three daughters.

A turning point arrived during her fourth pregnancy. The Community Outreach team from the SHINE Humanity Gul Lot Clinic in Nagarparkar visited her village, inviting all pregnant women to come for a pre-natal checkup. Ajni was determined to improve her condition and convinced her husband to accompany her.

SHINE Humanity’s team told Aini that she was suffering from severe anemia. They provided her with iron supplements and offered counseling and guidance to both her and her husband.

Two months later, Ajni visited a government hospital for an ultrasound and a follow-up hemoglobin test. The results confirmed that her blood levels had normalized. Just ten days after the ultrasound, she gave birth at home to a healthy baby boy, a moment of immense joy and relief for the entire family.

Ajni credits SHINE Humanity for changing the course of her pregnancy. She expressed deep gratitude to the team and the Gul Lot Clinic for reaching her village and providing life-saving support at just the right time.

SHINE Humanity is grateful to our incredible donors, whose generosity makes it possible to provide essential healthcare services to underserved communities. Your support creates meaningful change and touches countless lives. Thank you for making a difference.
