Improve Health for Mothers & Children in Pakistan

Dear Friends,

Thanks to your continued support around 5,500 patients receive quality care each month at the three charitable healthcare sites supported by SHINE. Here’s another story about how your contributions help people who most need it. This past summer an energetic twelve year old boy named Irfan came to our clinic in Gharo  complaining of pain and swelling in both of his wrists after falling from a tree he was climbing. Thankfully with the help of our generous donors we were able to provide him with top medical care and provide some relief to his family who’s already struggling financially on an unstable income. Irfan’s father is a day laborer and his mother is a housewife who stays at home looking after her five other children. Without support from our clinic, Irfan’s family could not have afforded to pay for his medical expenses. Our physician referred him to a specialist where his x-ray showed a fracture of the left wrist. SHINE helped cover the cost of his visit and the necessary medications and supplies amounting to about $9.00.
