Dear Friends,
Thank you for your continued support of helping our patients receive the highest quality of medical care. Your generous donations help support patients such as one year old, Omar Baksh to get the necessary healthcare aid. Omar came into SHINE’S clinic in Gharo on November 24th of 2015 severely dehydrated and suffering from malnutrition, weighing in at a less than nine pounds upon his arrival. His father stated that they were very poor and could not afford to take Omar to a doctor, although, he had been sick for the past ten days and had been vomiting continuously. They had just found out about SHINE’S charity clinic and therefore came here. With the help of our doctors our clinic was able to provide Omar with the necessary treatment and fluids to stabilize him. He was later referred to a government children’s hospital in Karachi for further management. Omar’s story is nothing new in Gharo, there are thousands of children in Pakistan suffering from malnourishment everyday.
