Dear our kind supporters,
Today is the last day of GobalGiving’s International Women’s Week campaign! Don’t delay—Your donation up to $50 will be matched by 50%!
Thanks to your support, three nonprofits, Kizuna Mail Project, Nobel, and Madre Bonita, will be participating in WIT’s Board Fellow Program launching this summer, which will connect these organizations with private sector leaders in order to cultivate long-term cross-sector collaborations and build their organizational capacity.
Please read on to learn about one of the participating nonprofits, Madre Bonita!
Around 14.3% of new mothers experience postpartum depression, while 46.9% of women leave their work after childbirth. In response to these and other issues related to childbirth, Madre Bonita conducts pre/postnatal care classes, including exercise, self-care, and support for new mothers who may feel isolated from society. Madre Bonita also trains instructors who can conduct pre/postnatal care programs and conducts research related to issues of postnatal wellbeing in order to improve their offerings. Through the Board Fellow Program, Madre Bonita hopes to engage in discussion and collaborations with a variety of stakeholders in order to create a society where postnatal care is available for everyone, allowing mothers to realize their full potential.

With gratitude,
Mio, Mako, Kento, and WIT Team
