The 28 March 2025 earthquake in Myanmar caused widespread damage, affecting over 55,000 homes and 300 health facilities, and displacing over 210,000 people. Plan International responded rapidly by providing life-saving aid, including food, water, shelter and protection services.
Nearly a year after the earthquake in Myanmar, Plan International continues to support affected communities with essential aid. We have reached over 83,000 people so far - including thousands of girls, women and persons with disabilities - distributing shelter kits, hygiene supplies, and clean water.
We have also facilitated safe spaces for over 5,300 children to learn, play, and heal, while training teachers to provide mental health support in schools.
For many girls and children, these spaces are the first step toward regaining a sense of normalcy. But the need remains urgent. Thousands of families are still displaced, and girls’ futures remain uncertain. With your support, we can continue to stand alongside communities as they rebuild their lives.
