By Garett Grittner | National Pet Food Bank Coordinator
Hello and welcome back for a summer update from Humane Canada’s National Pet Food Bank program. Thanks to you, our generous supporters, we are pleased to report that our program continues to help communities across the country with addressing pet food insecurity and keeping families together.
Grant Cycle Update
Our Review Committee evaluated the many strong applications we received from organizations across the country and selected our 2025 National Pet Food Bank grant recipients. We are deeply grateful for the work that all the applicants are undertaking to address food insecurity in their communities, and we are pleased to be able to provide grants to the following recipients:
Selecting the recipients was no easy task as there are so many incredible initiatives that we would love to support. We are thankful for all of the applications that we received and look forward to continuing to support pet food banks across Canada through this grant program.
National Pet Food Bank Map Update
The annual National Pet Food Bank Survey has now closed, collecting up-to-date information from organizations providing pet food support across Canada. We will be using the data to strengthen our reach and improve service delivery across the country.
As part of this process, we are also working on updating our National Pet Food Bank Map to elevate accessibility and user experience. This work is ongoing, so stay tuned for further updates. In the meantime, the map continues to be available and can be accessed under the Links section below.
We look forward to the exciting work we have ahead and keeping you informed on the developments and impacts of the program. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support.
