National Scholars from the USA

Dear supporter,
I hope this finds you well. As we mentioned in our last report, we are still seeking partners for this program within the United States. As our Trust grows in both scale and reputation we are finally accessing the funding required to both maintain our present commitments globally and initiate some of our other longer term aims.
The objective is to be able to allow select under-privileged young adults from the United States, have already shown initiative within their own communities, further opportunities to help increase their awareness regarding global and local issues, facilitate an opportunity for them to help make direct impact on those issues and empower them to continue making impact once their scholarship is finished, either within their own communities or through developing a career in their chosen field.
If you have any any questions, comments or ideas for this project, please contact me at info@gvi.org.
Thank you for your kind donations that have allowed the project to get this far, and all the very best,
Kind regards
Sophie Birkett

Searching for partnerships
By Sophie Birkett | Charitable Trust manager
Dear Supporter,
I hope this finds you well. We are seeing a small number of donations coming in for this project and as always, we ask for your continued help with expanding this project. We have been looking for suitable recipients for this project.
We are looking to build links with schools, groups, organisations and charities across the US to seek partnerships and offer opportunities to young people to help them see and then fulfil their own potential to help themselves and others.
Thank you for your support as always. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or ideas at info@gvi.org.
Kind regards
Sophie Birkett

Partnership opportunities for 2013
By Sophie Birkett | GVI Charitable Trust
The GVI Charitable Trust National Scholarship Program supports projects around the world benefitting disadvantaged people and providing opportunities for them to receive education and training which will lead to long term improvements for them, their communities and environments.
In 2012, we expanded the National Scholarship program to the United States, with the aim to provide opportunities also to disadvantaged individuals which will help them to undergo training and create opportunities which will open doors and lead to positive developments.
Unfortunately, this project has struggled to get the attention and the donors that we feel it deserves. Donations have slowly come in, but we desperately need further funds to be able to reach scholars in future years. We are also looking for partnership opportunities with youth organisations in the United States to enable an easier selection process for the scholars as well as giving us greater access to funds from the government, corporations, fundraising bodies, fundraisers and donors if possible. Any assistance or help you can offer in fundraising is desperately needed and welcome! For more information, please see www.gvi.org
Many thanks to everyone who supports us in this endeavour.
