By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Greetings and thank you very much for your kind support to our initiative to provide much needed vegetable seeds and garden equipment to survivors of the earthquake. This project is of urgent importance most especially for lactating women and children since regularly eating vegetables free them from “hidden hunger” or the lack of micro-nutrients among the very poor. Vegetables are needed by the body. Vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals and most of poor families in Tigani Village, Bhaktapur are deficient in vegetable consumption even if vegetables are easy to grow. The main reason why they do not eat vegetables is their ignorance about the importance of vegetables in their nutrition and diet. Vegetables also relieves depression and stress as a result of the earthquake. This period we continue to distribute vegetable seeds for 75 families in Tigani.
Hoping that you will continue supporting our food security initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
