Dear Friends and Supporters,
Greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to provide food security via vegetable gardening in Nepal. Our great constraint is the distance and low budget for this initiative but we are trying to find creative ideas how to continue this important project. One of the means is to produce the vegetable seeds in our farms in the Philippines and process the seeds to send to our partner community associations in Nepal, primarilly the association of Filipinos in Kathmandu and a youth organization located in Bhaktapur.
Our advantage is that we have a 2-hectare seed production farm already for our projects in Mindanao and we will use this site for this activity. We contacted our partners in Nepal and they said that the most important seeds are lady's fingers, bitter-gourd, cauliflower, radish, squash, luffa and tomato. This is manageable since 1 kilo of seeds will translate to thousands of vegetables already. Our partners in Nepal will distribute the vegetable seeds to the beneficiaries.
Again, thank you very much for your kind support to this worthy initiative.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
