Dear Friends,
Greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative to provide low-cost sanitation to eartquake-affected poor population in Nepal. This time, we shifted our gears and focus on introducing low-cost latrines that are clean, odorless, hygienic, durable and follows international health standards. We have much experience in this matter having done the same initiative during Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. We focus our effort in Kavre District, Namobuddha, Nepal and we are doing this in partnership with the Voluntary Youth Initiative Foundation - Nepal, a home-grown youth organization very active in local development and installing 5 pilot latrines. Spearheading our effort is Jed Christian Sayre who was recently graduated from the Coady International Institute in Nova Scotia, Canada with a diploma in rural leadership development. Once our pilot is accepted by many, we intend to expand its implementation to other areas here in Nepal.
