The Jajarkot and Rukum West districts of Nepal, situated in the Far-Western Region Province 6, was struck by the earthquake, measuring 6.4 in magnitude, occurred on November 3, 2023 Tewa Grant Making team reached out to grantee partners via phone and had an emergency meeting with staff team to support earthquake survivors of Jajarkot and Rukum West.
Tewa provided grant support to its grantee partners from Jajarkot, Rukum West, Surkhet, Dailekh and Kathmandu to response immediate need of communities. Tewa also mobilize its grantee partners Ms. Nirmala Gupta, to assess the situation on the ground.
The organization conducted frequent meetings with grant and grant committee members to facilitate the provision of grants. Tewa primarily focused on assessing the specific needs of the affected areas and disbursed grants to support the vulnerable communities also sent some relief materials.
