Dear donor and friend, let me tell you about our last spay/neuter action. The community reported a shelter with low resources, and encouraged us to visit them in order to check the situation. Sadly, we found all the animals, dogs and cats, even newborn kitties and orphaned puppies, in terrible physical conditions, malnourished, famished and too weak to bark or move their tails. So we organized a fundraiser and got a great amount of kibble, soft food and leftover meat from a butcher’s, also blankets and doghouses. The next step was a whole sterilization day, to spay/neuter 19 animals, 15 dogs and four cats. We invited a vet team and some volunteers and turned a sleeping room into a surgery. The volunteers were responsible for supervising the recently operated patients, cleaning up, filling out a register form, improvising protection shirts from old T-shirts, taking photos and serving sandwiches and fruit for lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed, everything turned out perfectly well, and we were grateful for this unique opportunity of expressing compassion and solidarity. And as a last big surprise, the couple of vets adopted the puppy we spayed first. That made our day!! Our next goal is to hopefully find real homes for most of the animals, so we just started to edit an album with the best pics ever.
You, dear donor and friend, made this posible, thank you for generosity, for saving lives and supporting such an important action.
