Eid is celebrated by Muslims twice a year; the first is Eid-ul- Fitr and the second one is Eid-ul- Adha. It is a day of joy and happiness which people share with their families, friends and neighbors.
On this joyous occasion there are many families and children who are bereft of this joy because they are poor. Fatima Memorial Hospital intiated its education program in 1985 which provides primary and secondary education to children from less privileged backgrounds in the areas surrounding Lahore and the flood hit area of District Rahim Yar Khan. We make it our mission to provide every child studying in our schools to get a new outfit on Eid-ul-Fitr which comes after the fasting month of Ramadhan – this year it will be in July and it is tradition to wear new clothes and make lots of sweets and deserts.
We have started collecting clothes and toys for the upcoming Eid and hope not to disappoint even a single child this July.
