Little children bring joy to so many lives, their smiles, their cherubic faces, and their innocence which makes this world a beautiful place.
The reality of so many children in Pakistan is so bleak and sometimes a better future seems like a distant dream.
Fatima Memorial Hospital runs an outreach programs which consists of NUR Foundation School and students are provided free education since 1985 and till date 18,000 children have graduated. Currently, there are 1850 children studying in the school which are situated in the outreach areas of Lahore and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Given the financial background of the children a new set of clothes each year is a blessing. While NUR Foundation School does provide uniforms and books each year; every Eid which is celebrated with zeal and fervor across the Muslim world and wearing new clothes is an integral part of the festive season.
These children who deserve so much but are faced with so many trial and tribulations are gifted with new outfits for Eid each year on behalf of the schools. The joy it brings to these children is makes it all worthwhile.
However, with rising costs it is becoming difficult with each passing year and we will like your support so we can continue with our tradition so we can see the bright light in each child’s eyes which has been dimmed by the reality of their lives.
Thank you!
