We’re excited to share that all installments of the loan granted to Coopersapó — a cooperative of smallholder farmers in Maués, Amazonas — through the Crowdlending Platform for Positive Impact, have been fully repaid. This milestone was made possible by the cooperative’s strong performance and commitment to sustainable development.
With the loan’s support, Coopersapó was able to advance payments to guaraná producers in the region, helping them avoid selling their harvest to middlemen at up to 30% lower prices. The additional capital also empowered the cooperative to negotiate better prices for powdered guaraná and create a community fund that supports solar panel installations and artesian wells — key initiatives that are improving local families’ quality of life.
Faced with increasingly unpredictable harvests due to climate change, Coopersapó chose to repay the loan early using funds from the 2024 season’s sales, reaffirming their commitment to the investors who believe in a better, more sustainable future for the Amazon. We are deeply grateful for your trust and support — together, we are making a real difference!
With your help in our campaign, we can continue supporting organizations that make a positive impact in the Amazon.
