Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project providing education to disadvantaged girls. We are supporting 2 villages for this project and most of the inhabitants are farmers and artisans so our support to girls is focused on improving farming activities so that they are able to improve their income sources. We not only help girls themselves but the whole family as well and in so doing we are able to provide holistic support. This reporting period our focus is on the development of their home-gardens and conducting local trainings. We plan to develop a larger farm demonstration and seed source area so that more beneficiaries can benefit. We are able to provide training to 35 beneficiaries this time and we hope to increase the number in the coming months. Again thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy

Continue non-formal education
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your continuing support to our project providing non-formal education for girls who are disadvantaged. The reason for being disadvantaged is the lack of economic resources and other circumstances. This reporting period we continue our support to disadvantaged girls by the implementation of non-formal education. We are happy to report that we are able to tap the help of local supporters who provided technical assistance and volunteer support. Your help to us matters a lot so that we will be able to continue the conduct of non-formal education. We are focusing our efforts to home economics and local livelihoods. This time we are able to provide education to 70 girls and we hope to increase our trainees as we continue with this project. Again thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy

Localized education activities

Providing non-formal education
Dear Friend,
Good day and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative providing non-formal education for disadvantaged women and girls. Formal education is a difficult goal to achieve especially for women and girls living in remote rural communities. There are just many hindrances for students to finish school and most of these revolve around access to resources in going to school. The education system is already free but there are a lot of expenses to be had. Our approach is to provide localized, livelihood-based education that can be used immediately in order to secure food and improve livelihoods. This is far more better and our beneficiaries quickly adopt this system. We focus mostly on farm-based livelihood activities and this is gaining more support not only in the villages but with outside supporters as well. This reporting period we were able to provide non-formal education to 72 women and girls. Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
