By Peter de Laat | Project Leader
Hi dear friends & Donors, here a report form the Fertiel Soil project in Arusha Area, Tanzania.
A half year has past since we planted the fruittrees with our own compost manure. The Environmental Conservation Committee has a strong base in the Village we operate and they continue to work together.
The plant have survived this first critical period and are now in a growing phase, and we will see the benifits of adding compost in the dry period. We hope the growth will continue.
The student farmers who were trained last year, will now start another compost heap towards the new year, so the compost will be ready when planting season comes again in February 2026.
Mr. Solomon, our trainer, is working on a new compost manure class in another village; a student will accompagnie him in this project to assist and learn more at the same time. The execution will start in a couple of months.
Best Regards,
Pendaeli Amos & Peter de Laat
