Thank you for being there for 400 families in need of end-of-life care support during the first half of 2022.

Your support means the world to hundreds of families accross the country...

“Our mum passed away in her simple farmhouse bedroom with all of us around her…

without a Nurse for Night Care, that couldn’t have happened. That’s a profound gift.”

- Conor, whose mum availed of the IHF Nurses for Night Care service.

Thanks to your support, Irish Hospice Foundation can run the vital healthcare service, Nurses for Night Care. This service enables people with diseases like dementia, motor neurone disease, advanced respiratory disease, heart failure and end stage kidney disease to receive expert nursing care and support at night in their own homes in their final days. It also provides reassurance and respite for families and loved ones caring for someone at home.

"I remember walking in on the second night, and I'll never forget the look of relief in her eyes.

She said to me, "I've never been so glad to see anyone in my life" - Nurse for Night Care, AnneMarie.

Each night of care costs €337, so every euro makes a big difference. We are very grateful for your support.

From the period beginning the 1st of January until the 30th of June 2022, thanks to your generosity and the generosity of people like you, we have provided 1,167 nights of nursing care at home for patients at end-of-life and we have support 396 patients and their families.
