As expected, demand has been high for our Nurses for Night Care service in the first half of this year.
Between January and May we delivered 688 night of respite care, helping 223 people fulfil their final wish to spend their last days in their own home surrounded by their memories and belongings. This also provides much needed respite and support to their loved ones, families and carers around Ireland.
So far this service has cost The Irish Hospice Foundation $231,200 - and with no core state funding we are reliant on voluntary donations like yours to ensure that everyone who wants our help to die at home is able to do so.
Thank you very much for your gift and we hope you will continue to support us so that each and every person is able to receive this care.
