Progress is being made in the OA Women's Training Garden!
OA Field Director, Anounou Sissoko, spent some time in the OA Women's Training Garden last week distributing seeds and teaching about composting. All the women pledged to stop using chemicals in the garden as well!
The Women's Training Garden is part of OA's Nurturing Nutrition Program, and provides women and their families with education on nutrition and gardening practices, in addition to providing food for their families.
So far we have completed a new well, trained over 80 women on efficient gardening and composting practices, taught how to manage products for consumption, sale and preserve products they cannot sell.
Donations will fund purchasing materials such as: rakes and hoes, wheelbarrows, tarps, and purchasing a variety of seeds.
These women are so grateful for the education and hope to see great crops this year!
