Summary

Many vulnerable mothers and children in Lagos lack access to nutritious food, leading to chronic hunger and malnutrition. Our project provides daily nutritious meals to support child development and maternal health. By meeting this basic need, we reduce preventable illness and give families the strength to thrive. With your support, we can reach more households and ensure no mother or child goes to bed hungry.

Challenge

In Lagos, poverty and food insecurity make it difficult for many families to access the nutritious meals they need. Malnutrition weakens children's development and mothers' health, increasing the risk of illness, stunted growth, and long-term disabilities. Without proper nutrition, these families face a daily struggle to survive and break free from poverty. The hardest hit are pregnant and nursing mothers and children under five, who require adequate nutrition for healthy growth.

Solution

Our project provides daily nutritious meals specifically designed for vulnerable mothers and children in Lagos to combat hunger and malnutrition. By delivering balanced, nutrient-rich food directly to families, we improve their health, boost children's growth and development, and strengthen mothers' wellbeing. Additionally, we offer nutrition education to empower families with knowledge on healthy eating habits, helping break the cycle of malnutrition for the long term.

Long-Term Impact

By ensuring vulnerable mothers and children receive consistent, nutritious meals, our project helps reduce rates of malnutrition, illness, and developmental delays in the community. Healthier children are more likely to thrive in school and reach their full potential, while stronger mothers can better support their families and participate in economic activities.
