Dear Friends and Supporters,
Because of your generosity, vulnerable girls in rural Uganda are receiving more than a meal—they are receiving hope, dignity, and a greater chance to succeed in school.
Across many rural communities, hunger remains a major obstacle to education. For countless girls, attending school without breakfast or lunch often means struggling to concentrate, missing classes, or dropping out altogether.
Through your support of the Nutritious School Meals for Girls in Rural Uganda Project, we are helping break this cycle.
During this reporting period, nutritious meals were provided to girls from some of the most disadvantaged households. The impact has been remarkable. Teachers have reported improved concentration, increased classroom participation, and better attendance among beneficiaries. For many girls, the school meal is the most nutritious meal they receive all day, giving them the energy and motivation to learn, grow, and thrive.
Beyond improving nutrition, the project is strengthening girls' confidence and encouraging families to keep their daughters in school. Every meal served is helping protect a girl's right to education and opening doors to future opportunities.
Despite rising food prices and growing demand for support, your commitment continues to transform lives. Together, we are ensuring that hunger does not stand in the way of a girl's education and future success.
On behalf of the girls, families, teachers, and communities we serve, thank you for believing in the power of education and nutrition. Your compassion is creating lasting change—one meal, one girl, and one future at a time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Girl Child Foundation Uganda
