STRENGTHENING SCHOOL ATTENDANCE THROUGH NUTRITION

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

We are grateful for your continued support of the Nutritious School Meals for Girls in Rural Uganda Project. Your generosity continues to help girls overcome barriers that often prevent them from accessing quality education.

During this reporting period, nutritious meals were provided consistently to girls attending partner schools. Teachers reported encouraging improvements in attendance, punctuality, and classroom participation. Students who receive regular meals are demonstrating greater commitment to their studies and are more actively engaged in learning activities.

For many families, economic hardship remains a significant challenge. The school feeding program helps ease some of this burden by ensuring that girls have access to nutritious meals while pursuing their education. Parents have shared positive feedback regarding the impact of the initiative on their children's academic performance and well-being.

The project team continued to monitor implementation closely while working alongside school administrators and community leaders. Their collaboration remains essential in ensuring accountability and effective service delivery.

Thank you for strengthening school attendance through nutrition. Your support is helping vulnerable girls remain in school, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to achieve their aspirations. Together, we are investing in a future where every girl has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
