A WARM MEAL, A SEAT IN CLASS, A FUTURE REWRITTEN

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Every day in rural Uganda, many girls face a difficult choice between attending school and helping their families cope with hunger. For some, the promise of a nutritious meal at school is the deciding factor that keeps them in the classroom. Thanks to your generosity, that choice is becoming easier.

During this reporting period, your support helped provide nutritious school meals to vulnerable girls who might otherwise struggle to remain focused on learning. Teachers reported improved attendance, increased classroom participation, and greater concentration among students benefiting from the program. More importantly, girls who once missed lessons due to hunger are now arriving at school eager to learn.

Parents continue to share stories of transformation. Many describe how the burden of providing daily meals has been eased, allowing families to prioritize education even during difficult economic times. For girls from the most vulnerable households, the school meal is often the most reliable meal of the day.

Beyond nutrition, your support is restoring dignity, confidence, and hope. Every meal served represents an investment in a girl's future—a future where she can complete her education, avoid early marriage, and pursue opportunities that were once out of reach.

Thank you for helping rewrite futures one meal at a time. Your compassion is ensuring that girls stay in school, achieve their dreams, and become the leaders their communities need.
