A classroom can only be effective when students are ready to learn. Unfortunately, many girls in rural Uganda arrive at school hungry, making concentration and participation difficult. Your support is helping change that reality.
Through the Nutritious School Meals for Girls in Rural Uganda Project, girls receive reliable meals that support both their health and education. During this reporting period, schools reported encouraging improvements in attendance and classroom engagement among participating students.
Teachers observed that girls receiving meals remained attentive for longer periods and participated more confidently in lessons. Parents expressed gratitude for the support, explaining that school meals reduce household pressure while encouraging continued school attendance.
The impact extends beyond immediate hunger relief. Proper nutrition helps students perform better academically, develop stronger self-esteem, and remain committed to their educational goals.
By supporting school meals, you are investing in a solution that addresses both hunger and educational inequality. Every meal helps a girl stay focused, remain in school, and move one step closer to achieving her dreams.
Thank you for making education possible through nutrition.
