THE GIFT THAT KEEPS A GIRL LEARNING

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Every day, girls across rural Uganda walk to school carrying not only books and dreams but also the burden of uncertainty about their next meal. Thanks to your generous support, that burden is becoming lighter. Your commitment to the Nutritious School Meals for Girls in Rural Uganda Project is helping ensure that hunger does not stand in the way of education.

During this reporting period, hundreds of girls continued to receive nutritious meals that supported their learning and wellbeing. Teachers reported improved attendance, stronger concentration, and greater participation in classroom activities. Students who once struggled to focus due to hunger are now more engaged and motivated to succeed.

Parents continue to share how the feeding program has become a lifeline for their families. Knowing that their daughters receive a reliable meal at school encourages consistent attendance and helps reduce financial pressure at home.

The true value of your gift extends far beyond nutrition. Each meal helps a girl stay in school, strengthen her confidence, and move closer to achieving her goals. The education she gains today can open doors to future opportunities, economic independence, and a brighter life.

Thank you for giving a gift that keeps a girl learning. Your generosity continues to create lasting impact, transforming lives one school day at a time and helping girls build futures filled with hope and possibility.
