No girl should have to choose between learning and hunger. Yet for some girls in rural Uganda, limited household income can make regular access to nutritious food difficult. The Girl Child Foundation Uganda (GIFU) is working to address this challenge by seeking support for school meals.
The initiative aims to help girls receive nutritious food during the school day so they can approach their lessons with greater energy and concentration. School feeding also provides an important form of support to families experiencing financial hardship.
GIFU continues to appeal for donations from individuals, organizations, and partners who believe that hunger should not stand in the way of education. Contributions can help provide food supplies and sustain school meal activities for vulnerable girls.
With your support, we can help make classrooms more welcoming places where girls have the nourishment and opportunity to learn. Every donation is an investment in a girl's education and in the future of her community.
