Ofarim School March 2025 Project Report

By Nahum Bloch | School principal

Deat donors,

The last few months at the school have been filled with impressive progress, both academically and professionally, reflecting our commitment to personal growth and individualized learning for each student.

We launched a reading and typing project with the help of professional instructors in expression and typing, where students learn with the assistance of advanced technology that helps them improve their reading, comprehension, typing skills and communications skill.

Our team undergoes regular professional training aimed at expanding knowledge in various areas such as therapeutic approaches, individualized teaching methods, and working with assistive technology. Each teacher focuses on strategies that
help the learning process to the unique needs of the students. The teachers teach in a flexible manner, adapting to different learning styles such as experiential learning, learning through play, and learning using technology.

The teachers and support teams work together in a synchronized manner, ensuring that each
student receives the personalized and educational support they need. They undergoes weekly training in augmentative and alternative
Communication and learns additional ways to communicate with students, some of whom are non-verbal.
The progress of the students in various subjects is part of the overall success of the school in the process of personalized and experiential learning. Interpersonal communication is very important, especially among children on the autism spectrum. This area is gradually developing, working on developing interpersonal communication skills, communication with the staff, and communication for expressing personal needs. Our goal that each student receives the personalized and educational support they need.

One of the exciting projects we recently launched is the creation of an activity space on the school’s roof. This project aims to provide students with outdoor learning experiences while integrating nature, sensory games, and space.
Your contribution enables us to continue providing our children with the tools for success, and their achievements are a direct result of your commitment and involvement in our educational work.

Thank you very much
Purim Sameah
