Ofarim School July 2025 Project Report
![]()
Hello, my name is Nahum Bloch and I am the principal of Ofarim School for students on the Autism spectrum.
The last period has not been easy – both in terms of security and on the emotional level of the entire community.
However, we have managed to create a supportive, stabilizing and sustaining routine. The teaching staff, assistants, therapists and administrative staff have continued to arrive every day with dedication, sensitivity and faith along the way.
Over the past two months, the team of our teachers has demonstrated a high level of professionalism, creativity, and pedagogical flexibility. Each team has created customized, experiential, and enriching learning spaces, while adapting to the needs of the students and each student’s ability to express themselves, create, and grow.
Thanks to the commitment and vision of the teams, the students have been exposed to a wide variety of experiences – personal projects, class performances, small-scale exhibitions, and integrated activities that have given them a sense of success, personal expression, and belonging.
One of the exciting and unique elements of our school is the multicultural team, made up of women and men of all religions and denominations – Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, and others – who work together with deep dedication for the good of the students.
The team's joint work, based on mutual respect, patience, mutual responsibility and love for children, is a living and daily example of cooperation between sectors in Israeli society. In the difficult reality that surrounds us, this team proves every day that it is possible to build bridges, work together and create a supportive, diverse and inclusive educational environment.
Trip to Jerusalem and Bar Mitzvah Ceremony for 6th Graders
The highlight of the period was undoubtedly the exciting trip to Jerusalem for 6th graders, who finished their schooling. During the trip, we visited sites of educational and emotional significance – the Western Wall, the Jewish Quarter and the Israel Museum.
An integral part of the experience was a respectful and moving Bar Mitzvah ceremony, which took place at the Western Wall, where each student received personal attention, a blessing and attention that respected his life story and path. It was a moment of pride, summing up, and coming of age – for the students, their families and the entire team.
We have managed to continue teaching, provide emotional support, implement therapeutic programs, and maintain a sense of security and stability among the students – even when outside the school gates the world seems less stable.
I would like to thank each and every one of you for your contribution, and in this way we are able to enrich the students’ world and with your help we are able to create diverse and interesting activities for the students.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will continue to operate with hope, connection to the community and love!
