This project will sponsor education and teach practical life skills like hairdressing, tailoring, and motor repair to redirect youth toward productive lives.
Many youth in Akwa Ibom live in poverty and lack hope for the future. With no education or job opportunities, they turn to armed robbery, gang fights, stealing, cultism, and early pregnancies. These activities endanger their lives, families, and communities. Without intervention, these 700 youth risk a cycle of crime, violence, and social instability.
This project will provide education support and life skills training for 700 youth, including hairdressing, motor repair, and tailoring. By equipping them with practical skills, mentoring, and basic materials, the project offers alternative livelihoods. Youth will gain knowledge, confidence, and income-generating abilities, reducing involvement in crime and promoting productive, safe lives.
Equipped with education and vocational skills, youth can earn a living, support themselves, and avoid crime. Communities will benefit from reduced violence, theft, and social unrest. Over time, the project will transform the outlook for 700 youth, turning despair into opportunity, building skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and a more peaceful, productive society.
