Greetings from the Asherah Foundation!
Congratulations again to Noura, one of our 2019 scholarship recipients!
Her story begins in Yemen, a country torn by war, increasing poverty, damaged infrastructure, a devastating economy, food insecurity, and inadequate health care. As the conflict continues, the COVID-19 pandemic creates more uncertainty and detrimental effects for Yemen’s citizens.
Noura’s strength and determination surpasses Yemen’s challenges and is a story of hope. Despite the challenges of transitioning to studying remotely, she remains focused as she perseveres and adapts to taking online training courses.
“Thank you for your generosity, which will allow me to achieve my dream of getting [this] degree and helping people learn about community services available to them.” - Noura
In two months, Noura plans to complete her master’s degree. Noura lives in a world with no limitations. No boundaries of war to hinder her dreams. As a change maker and a resilient woman breaking the cycles of Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, she aims to help Yemen’s vulnerable population gain a voice. With her passion, she shapes the lives of individuals and with these steps, she transforms a nation.
Thank you for helping us support women around the world!
