In disaster areas, approximately one-third of families with children cite financial constraints as the biggest challenge their children face in continuing their education.
The financial difficulties experienced in disaster areas are severing the ties between children and school, subjecting them to child labor.
Being forced to work damages children's physical and mental development. It deprives them of their fundamental rights to education and healthy growth. Children who are forced to work cannot attend school and cannot grow up healthy.
OKI and HIJI aim to reach children who have been deprived of their fundamental rights due to disasters and poverty. They support children in taking steps towards a new future "with their bags." They inspire happiness and courage in shaping their future.
The bags distributed in disaster areas(Hatay,Adyaman, Kahramanmaras) continue to reach children. You can support more children in accessing OKI and HIJI bags, which provide essential education and health supplies, with your donations.
