Introduction
Following the submission of our last report on 31 July 2025, African Soul Initiative has undertaken a new strategic activity aligned with the goals of the One Million Tree Project—the development of a Fruit Tree Education Book.
This initiative is part of our long-term effort to strengthen environmental literacy, improve community participation, and enhance the sustainability of fruit tree planting and care.
This report outlines the progress made over the last three months, detailing the work completed, the purpose of the book, community involvement, and the next steps.
Purpose of the Book
The upcoming Fruit Tree Education Book will serve as a comprehensive, practical guide on fruit trees that are central to the One Million Tree Project. Its primary objectives are to:

Challenges Encountere
1. Limited Resources for Content Development: Access to comprehensive . reference materials and botanical manuals is still limited, slowing down technical verification.
2. Funding Constraints:Additional resources are required for; Professional editing and formatting, Photos and illustrations, Printing and community distribution.
3. Time Limitations: Fieldwork, community engagements, and nursery activities run concurrently with book development, stretching available time.
Next Steps

Conclusion
The last three months have marked strong progress in developing an educational resource that will enhance community knowledge and improve fruit tree survival rates. While still in draft form, the book lays a foundation for better-informed planting and care across all project communities.
