With your generous support, AWARD Pakistan has continued its mission to provide dignity, health, and safety for poor families without access to toilets in rural districts of Faisalabad, Muzaffargarh, and Toba Tek Singh. During this reporting period, the project raised USD 2,641, which has been used to construct four new toilets for the most deserving families in Faisalabad. These simple yet life-changing facilities are helping families protect themselves from diseases while providing women and children with the privacy and security they urgently need.
One of the families supported was that of Shazia, a widow living with her three children. For years, they had no choice but to use open fields, leaving them exposed to insects, illness, and the constant fear of being seen or harmed. With the toilet built through this project, Shazia now feels a sense of relief and protection. She shared that her children no longer fall sick as often, and she finally has peace of mind knowing they are safe at home.
We also gathered feedback from other beneficiary families, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Mothers spoke of reduced stress and improved health for their children, while many women expressed how safe and respected they now feel. Families expressed their gratitude, calling this project a blessing that has restored comfort and dignity to their homes.
This initiative is a reminder that even a low-cost toilet can transform lives. With your continued support, AWARD Pakistan is determined to extend this impact to many more families who are still waiting for this basic necessity. Together, we can build healthier and safer communities.
