Early September, we were actively involved with our sister organization One Health Maroc in the African Conference on the Environment & Health organized in Marrakech during 3 days.
Our presentation on the Impacts of climate change on the environment and health provided a great oppportunity to highlight our work in the argan forest, in particular the One Health gardens as well as the rabies vaccination campaigns that have been undertaken in the context of our project. We really wanted to raise awareness on the the importance of traditional local knowledge for One Health and its valorization.
The presentation of our work raised much interest from the participants as a tangible example of One Health in Action was shown to the assembly, while it is often dififcult for people to udnerstand the One Health concept.
Raising awareness of our work in international scientific conferences is also important to mobilize further funding.
