It´s time to say hi to a new year and welcome new changes, hope, aspirations, and a desire to grow and learn! However, before we move forward in this new year, let’s quickly recap what has happened at Amún Shéa in the last months of 2024. Let´s start with November, when a wonderful graduation took place. The kindergarten graduates glowed, the ninth grade students beamed with pride, and the high schoolers dazzled, looking wonderful on this most important day. We are so proud of them and all who have supported making this come true. We celebrated their dedication, discipline, and effort with happiness because we know they will become tools that will help them in the future.
Last but not least, we have fascinating news: Amún Shéa students earned a SUPERIOR score on the AVANZO test in all subjects. AVANZO is a national evaluation that all second-year high school students in El Salvador are required to take. This assessment measures students’ skill development, vocational interests, and work competencies. However, the national average score on this test has been consistently low, which is concerning. We congratulate Angie, Digna, their families, and Amún Shéa teachers on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of these students and thrilled to witness them reaching their goals. We look forward to seeing what is in store for this new year!
