17,500 trees planted over 15 days.
The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation planted and distributed an average of over 1,000 trees per day during our trip to Uganda this year. That's thousands of pounds of food, hundreds of dollars in income for families, tens of thousands of pounds of carbon dioxide sequestered, oxygen created, and air pollutants filtered from the air, and innumerable learning opportunities in food production and horticultural skills.
We are so proud of this project, and couldn't do it without our wonderful local partners, the Africa Partnership on Climate Change Coalition; with their on-the-ground support, we've been able to grow healthy saplings in our local nursery using organic, environmentally friendly practices.
And we couldn't do it without you! Every dollar donated reinforces our determination to continue this work towards environmental, economic, and nutritional opportunities in Uganda!
To a fruitful future for all Ugandans,
The FTPF Team
