It was never been thought by me that there would be full lockdown as well as the no physical human interaction which has been observed due to COVID-19. In first wave it really brought much financial crises for me as the physical movement was completely ban, no one can come to visit me for their dress making nor I was able to go to market to purchase threads, buttons etc from the market. I was stuck and my income been about zero. But at the end of first wave. I have been contacted by the ARTS Foundation team that ARTS Foundation is going to start a counselling and skill classes for dress making graduate girls to learn about online marketing and purchasing as well.
Indeed, it was great decision by ARTS Foundation and my participation in the classes in order to learn about online purchasing. I did learn a lot then I started placing orders to purchase threads, buttons etc online which supported me in care of my health, saved my time and efforts which I used to travel and pay fare etc.
I am able to continue to my earning through online purchasing which is saving my time and that time enables me to earn from Rs.500 to Rs.800/-
Shahida adds, ‘I think I have been successful in continuing my earning in the times of pandemic’.
Indeed, very much thankful to ARTS Foundation as well as the philanthropists under the platform of GlobalGiving for making this whole possible through their generous online funding as extended through the project of ARTS Foundation.
