Project 56105 GlobalGiving
Palliative Care for Orphaned Children
Interim Report January 2014
From the point of view of fund raising on GlobalGiving Platform in the year 2022 for the above project it has been difficult. But it’s encouraging to know that being on the platform, our project has gained tremendous publicity and momentum.
However, almost 22 donors all over the world including Australia, USA and in England donors generously contributed $775 USD. We are holding these funds at Kings Hill Rotary Club Charity account with a view to gather support for Rotary International Global Grant application.
Meanwhile I am glad to report that the Butterfly Home in South Africa itself managed to attract some donations locally and the intended aim of extending the home to accommodate 12 Orphan children has been successfully accomplished.
Now the project aim has been slightly altered to procure some medical equipment such as
Syringe Pumps
Feeding Pumps
Ultrasound Machine
Mobile Patient Monitors
Mini Ambulance for transportation of Palliative care children to local treatment centres.
We are now hoping to achieve this aim by securing funds by applying to Rotary International Global Grant, involving Rotary Club partnerships, where IRFHP is assisting to liaise the application process by providing Technical advice.
In order to make a successful application, we believe we could still benefit being on Global platform by getting International recognition and possibly attracting some funds.
Yours Sincerely.
