Expanding Partnerships for Holistic Housing

Sisterhood Agenda’s new PARKS Holistic Housing initiative is a project that conserves over 90% of the local ecosystem and utilizes the power of green spaces for holistic health and healing.

Last year, Sisterhood Agenda purchased a 1-acre lot in Middle River last year and started the process of acquiring the adjacent 9+ acre County-owned parcel next to ours. Sisterhood Agenda specializes in using permaculture, LEED or equivalent standards (for example, our award-winning sustainable eco-building on St. John in the Virgin Islands) in our mission to educate, support, and empower women and girls.

In this process, Sisterhood Agenda is hiring an Eco Housing Liaison and is partnering with neighboring agencies, organizations, and associations that support unique, safe, and ecologically responsible projects like ours. We recently put a donated container on the property for storage as we continue to fundraise for construction and support services.

It is our hope that Sisterhood Agenda’s PARKS Holistic Housing Project will respond to community needs in a manner that is harmonious, and effective, and showcases a new, multidimensional paradigm for what community development can look like.

As we visit community groups and present information about PARKS Holistic Housing, we are responsive to community needs, ideas, and suggestions. We welcome your input! We look forward to creating something special TOGETHER.
