Protectores de Cuencas Inc., is using donated funds to cover costs related to the production of native trees and maintenance of previously reforested areas inside the Guánica State Forest in Puerto Rico.This report covers the period from October 2023 to December 2023. During this period, PDC's team focused on maintenance of weeds and grasses. This year has been particularly rainy and grasses can quickly surpass tree height if not maintaned. Maintenance work included the removal of invasive species and the replacement of dead trees. PDC will kick off the new year with native tree planting along the PR-333 which is the area with higher fire risk.
