The co-existence programme is Israel has become more important than ever with recent events causing increased division across the country. The co-existence programme uses the values of rugby to promote peace and reconcilliation with children of different faiths and races in Israel.
With the current situation, the programme was not able to run properly for a few months, with rugby sessions taking place at the schools separately. However, with determination, the programme recently held a joint tag rugby tournament, with 5 schools in Haifa. All the girls and boys in year 5 joined in the tournament, with everyone enjoying the experience, and showing excellent sportsmanship.
This type of event is one of the rare opportunities children from different religious backgrounds in Israel have to come together, helping ease the religious tensions that run high. This event would not have been possible without your support.
You can help the co-existence programme continue to run in this difficult time by donating.
Thank you for your support.
