Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting this important project to train 1,500 youth in South Sudan in peacebuilding and mediation. Your support gives young people the tools to prevent conflict, promote dialogue, and strengthen their communities.
Decades of conflict have left South Sudan with one of the youngest populations in the world—over 70% under 30—yet many youth face poverty, displacement, and exposure to violence. With few education or employment opportunities, some are drawn into armed groups or local disputes, perpetuating cycles of conflict that threaten the future of their communities.
This project provides practical workshops and peer-learning sessions in mediation, nonviolent communication, and community dialogue. Participants gain skills to resolve disputes peacefully and become youth leaders who spread these techniques in their neighborhoods. By creating a network of trained mediators, the project empowers young people to prevent violence and build trust across divided communities.
At this stage, the donations received are not yet enough to begin implementation. However, we remain hopeful that with continued donor support, we can equip these young people with the skills they need to foster lasting peace.
Thank you for investing in the future of South Sudanese youth.
With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
