Dear PEPY friends and community,

We hope you have been doing well since you last heard from us! With your support, we have been able to continue providing services to our dedicated students and have made significant achievements this quarter. In this email, we are pleased to share some exciting updates with you.

Last quarter, we worked on our new five-year Strategic Plan and were excited to finalize and publish the document in the coming weeks! The plan will guide us into a new era of sustainability and increased capacity to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our community. Thank you for supporting us and helping make our Strategic Planning workshop possible. We will share the plan on our website and in our upcoming newsletter. If you would like to read it when it gets published, we invite you to sign up to receive our newsletter.

Some additional major highlights include:

  • Dream Management Project:  Across our three partner schools, we have maintained over 945 regular Dream class attendees and an average class attendance above 70%. During the past quarter, there were extended public school lockdowns, and we were thrilled that so many students returned to school and that there were only a handful of dropouts this year. In addition, we connected students to several Cambodian leaders and changemakers to speak at our partner schools in our Dream Talks in our classroom and in a school-wide Sharing Event. The speakers helped students increase their motivation to continue their studies and consider what careers they could pursue in the future.
  • Scholarship for Higher Education Project: 100% of our scholars and alumni are employed! In addition, the employer satisfaction rate of our scholars was 100% this quarter. This is the first time since the pandemic that all of our scholars and alumni have been employed. Prior to the pandemic, our expectation was that all scholars would be employed within six months of graduating from our Learning Center. We are thrilled to be back on track and to see our scholars and alumni thriving.
  • Learning Center Program: In the Learning Center, our students are performing well in the English Learning, ICT, and Youth Empowerment projects. Currently, the students are preparing to conduct their Civic Engagement Projects where they will lead initiatives focused on sustainability, education, or health and hygiene. They are so excited to support their communities and we are looking forward to seeing what they accomplish in their groups. In addition, we also launched the Learning Center Alumni Association this quarter. Our first meetings were conducted, which included electing the association’s leadership and formulating a strategic plan for the group. The alumni are eager to build their community, support each other in their capacity development, and use the group to build and expand their network.
  • Youth Innovators’ Space and Incubator Program (YISI): This quarter, the YISI team led another We Business Talk: Entrepreneurs Web Series. The event covered sources of funding for small and medium enterprises. In the program’s Social Enterprise Incubator Course, nine mentors were introduced to the Youth Innovators. The mentors will support the Youth Innovators as they research and develop their business plans.

We welcome you to read our quarterly report for more detailed updates.
