By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friends,
Greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project to provide emergency food relief during the El Nino season. Now that the rainy season has started, instead of directly providing food for families affected by the long dry spell, we decided to provide them with vegetable seeds and using local seed sources that they are able to grow again. In this way, they get multiple benefits like growing and sourcing their nutritious food, having exercise, making sure that the food they take comes from organic sources and using vacant lots for their food needs. This start of the rainy season, we assisted 75 families by providing seeds, organic fertilizer and technical advice on how best to grow their food. We provided also recyled containers that they will use in storing rain-water.
Again, thank you very much for your kind support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
