A Warm Thank You

Thank you for continuing to stand with Fundación Aladina and supporting our Physical Exercise for Children with Cancer program. Over the past months, your generosity has made it possible for our team to keep delivering personalized, medically safe exercise sessions to young cancer patients across four major hospitals in Spain. These moments of movement, joy, and connection are only possible because of you.

A Story From Our Team

Elena, our coordinator for the Physical Exercise Program, spends every afternoon training children undergoing oncology treatment. She often says that her work goes far beyond designing exercises—it’s about listening, connecting, and adapting every movement to each child’s energy and emotions. Recently, she experienced something unforgettable. As she arrived at the university where she teaches, a young man approached her and asked if she was Elena. When she confirmed, he smiled and said, “You trained me 10 years ago in the hospital. I recognized you and wanted to say hi.” His name was Marco, and he is now studying to become a Physical Education teacher. For Elena, seeing how he grew, recovered, and continued his life with such gratitude was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact donors create.

Your Impact in Recent Months

Since our last update, 340 patients have benefited directly from our physical exercise program, and 25 children and their caregivers received a sports scholarship that allowed them to stay active outside the hospital. Across our four partner hospitals, our specialists delivered hundreds of personalized sessions that help restore strength, autonomy, and emotional resilience during treatment. Every milestone these children reach is made possible because donors like you ensure the program remains fully accessible, individualized, and rooted in high-quality care.

Looking Ahead With Hope

We are also thrilled to share a historic step forward: the first stone has been laid for the upcoming Pediatric Gym at Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, a groundbreaking initiative that will soon serve children with cancer in Murcia. Supported in part by The Gere Foundation, the ceremony marked a moment of hope and commitment to families who face the toughest challenges. This future gym—designed to offer both indoor and outdoor activity spaces—will become a vital resource for physical and emotional recovery. Thank you for helping us build this future together. We will keep you updated as the project advances and as upcoming matching opportunities approach.
