Overview: Our "Pick-Up Truck for Food Deliveries" project on GlobalGiving aims to provide much-needed food, resources, and logistical support to vulnerable and marginalized communities. Currently, we are focusing our efforts on single mother-led families, who face immense challenges, including poverty, lack of access to basic services, and inadequate transportation for essential needs. This project seeks to bridge these gaps, offering direct food delivery, regular visits, and logistical support, particularly in rural areas that are hard to reach.
Key Details: We are excited to announce that as part of our 2024 Giving Tuesday Campaign, we are focusing on raising funds for a crucial jeep that will serve multiple purposes in our ongoing mission. This vehicle will not only be used for delivering food but also for conducting regular visits to vulnerable families in remote areas, allowing us to identify new families in need and provide timely assistance. The jeep will play an instrumental role in our ability to expand our services and ensure no one is left behind.
Why this Project Matters: Our current project, which is part of our larger "Educare Family Project," focuses on uplifting single mother-led households in rural communities. These families often face isolation, financial insecurity, and limited access to essential resources. By securing this vehicle, we will be able to improve delivery efficiency, reach more families in need, and extend our support to women and children who are at risk of being overlooked.
The jeep will also be used for BEF 2: Expansion to Tanahun District, where we aim to extend our services to another rural settlement. This expansion is critical as it will allow us to deliver food, medical supplies, and educational resources to families who are still facing systemic poverty and hardship.
